Concrete donations
One of Cencosud's outstanding programs related to corporate social responsibility in Argentina is the one carried out by Disco supermarkets through money donations to several charitable institutions. This initiative, whose funds are mainly raised by selling the "Entrecasa" magazine, was born five years ago. Its goal is to help people who live in extreme poverty conditions and therefore lack access to food, health and education.
More than just money, Disco & Vea supermarkets make concrete donations such as groceries, equipment, medical supplies and apparatus. Within its five years, more than 200 institutions have received continuous help. On the other hand, Disco Zona Sur keeps its commitment to the P.U.P.I. Foundation by helping more than 300 children at social risk.
